College Sweethearts Tie The Knot

You may remember the Hansens from my post on their engagement session. Well they tied the knot and are now the first wedding I've photographed of college sweethearts.  The wedding was held at FBT followed by a beautiful reception at the Dominion Valley Golf & Country Club.

The groomsmen were a lot of fun what with their cold cut "cigars" and helping Kenny create a "heart felt" card for Jessica.  On the other side of the aisle, the girls had their laughs while getting ready and the father of the bride even got to sneak in to catch a glimpse of his baby girl before giving her away.  I still remember him saying to Jessica, "Don't say a word or cry and I'll be alright. If you don't, I'll probably lose it."  Can you tell Jessica was Daddy's little girl?  If you can't, just look at some of the pics below.

We were blessed with beautiful lighting before the reception which gave us an opportunity to get some fun and beautiful shots of the bridal party and bride and groom.  After that, the festivities began at the reception which featured a beautiful cake and tasty candy bar (Ok ok. I fess up.  Linda did partake of the candy bar...She said it was one of the perks of being a photographer. I, being the consummate professional, abstained from the sweets.)  Everything was smooth and happy until the cake cutting where Jessica proceeded to mush Kenny in the face.  Kenny may have had the last laugh with his retaliation mush. His chocolate cake mustache did make him look a little like Charlie Chaplin though...

The beautiful wedding ended with a bubble filled exit.  Remember how I mentioned Jessica was Daddy's little girl?  Look at how he's looking at her in the last picture right before she gets into the car to leave the reception.  A picture's worth a thousand words right?

They're like the Rat Pack except without Sammy and with cold cut stogies

Jessica writing her own card to Kenny
Kenny reading Jessica's card
Kenny couldn't be outdone so Drew helped him create a SUPER CARD that had a heart cut out of it because it would mean Kenny REALLY loved Jessica
These words describe exactly how much Kenny loves Jessica...

Even though she promised her Dad she wouldn't cry...

The groomsmen didn't get the jumping out of their system yet

We don't usually post multiple ring shots but this one was too hard to resist

This pumpkin and lots others were carved by Jessica's brother-in-law and used as a very Autumn themed centerpiece.  Brent's got mad knife skills.
